{Lodi} Keith Ripp, winner of Tuesday's 47th Assembly District Republican primary, earned endorsements today from former primary rivals Tim McCumber, Erich Ruth and Steve Pate.
"I am grateful to have the support of Tim, Erich, and Steve. We all worked very hard during the campaign and heard the same things from the voters," said Ripp. "Their help means a lot to me, and I look forward to working with them to address the issues that matter most: stimulating the economy, lowering taxes, and providing affordable health care."
Erich Ruth committed to stumping for Ripp in the DeForest area and encouraged his supporters to fully back him in the general election.
"There is a clear difference between the candidates. Keith represents a world of reality and common sense. I will help Keith in any and every way I can to ensure that he represents us in the State Assembly," said Ruth. "I know he'll work hard to lower our tax burden, create more jobs, and maintain our quality education."
Tim McCumber, challenger from Merrimac, echoed Ruth's sentiments, vowing also to support Ripp in any way he can.
"We're all Republicans and are united in our efforts to move forward. It's important that we join together to make sure we win the 47th," stated McCumber.
The 47th Assembly District includes much of northern Dane County, most of southern and eastern Columbia County, and the Town and Village of Merrimac in Sauk County. The general election will be held on November 4th.
